Rehabilitation; To treat by identifying temporary or permanent shortcomings, lost or limited functional capacity of the individual, whether by birth or acquired later in life, supported also by psychological, social and professional aspects in order to help achieve self sufficiency in daily life. It has been empirically established by various pharmaeconomic studies that rehabilitation improves the quality of life of the patients, prolongs their lives, reduces the frequency with which they visit hospitals, the duration of their visits and the amount of medicine used by the patients as well as the time it takes to return to their professional settings thereby saving between 20 and 30% in the cost of their health expenses.
